Left Brain vs. Right Brain

Check this out! I found this on the blog of a friend of a friend.

It's a test that can discriminate between left brain and right brain people. I was, unsurprisingly, a right brain person. To me, the woman was spinning in a clockwise direction, and I couldn't imagine her spinning counter-clockwise at all. In fact, I kinda thought that it was B.S. until the grad student in my lab assured me that she could see the dancer spinning counter-clockwise (and this grad student is decidedly left brained).

Hmm, I wonder how one becomes left brained or right brained. I'll do some reading and try to add a bit to this post.

In the meantime, what are you?

It switches back and forth for me. Freaky!

gah! it also switches back and forth for me. so just for kicks I googled: right brain, and found another quiz to test if you are right brained or left brained, and the result of the quiz was that I am 50% right brained and 50% left brained.

maybe that's why i can't ever make a decision. my brain is pulling me apart!

I switch too! So weird. one minute she goes one way, the next she's switched to the other way. Must mean I'm neither right nor left brained. I think both my brains are dead anyways.

Wow, for all I try I can only see her going clockwise. Especially weird for a scientist, no?

just fyi, the right brain/left brain thing is a myth and utterly inapplicable to this situation.
